The Sixth day of October in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight hundred and Eighty Seven.

I James Parks Senior of Parks Creek Middle LaHave in the County of Lunenburg and in the Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, considering the uncertainty of this transitory life being of sound mind and memory thanks be unto God for the same do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say First I give bequeath and devise unto my beloved Daughters Emma wife of Alfred Conrad and Anna wife of Samuel Spindler each the sum of Twenty Dollars lawful money to be paid them by me herein named Executors withing four years after my decease and Secondly I give devise and bequeath unto my Beloved Daughter Cassandra Parks and her heirs and assigns the Sum of Forty Dollars lawful money of the Dominion of Canada to be paid by my hereunder named Executor the same to in Four years after my decease also one cow and one bed to be give her also by my executor within four years after my decease.

Thirdly I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved Daughter Ellen wife of James Corkum her heirs and assigns the sum of Thirty Dollars lawful money to be paid her by my Executor within Four years after my decease and also one Cow to be give her the same time by my executors.

Fourthly I give devise and Bequeath unto my beloved daughter Fanny Parks her heirs and assigns the sum of Thirty Dollars good and lawful money and also one bed and one cow the same to be paid and given her by my hereinafter named executor when she attains her lawful age or at the time of her marriage in case she will be married before her lawful age all the aforesaid legacies are to be passed and levied out of my personal estate.

Fifthly I give and devise and bequeath unto my beloved Son Charles Parks his heirs and assigns all my Real Estate that is to all my lands and Buildings all being Situate and being in this County of Lunenburg.

Sixthly I give and devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Ann Parks the Bed room and Room on the first flat of my house and also all the Furniture in the Room and Bed Room during her natural life and after her decease the said furniture shall be Equally divided Between my two sons James and Charles Parks also my two sons James and Charles Parks Give and provide my said wife Mary Ann Parks with good and lawful Maintenance during her natural life Provided she remarries my house and a meadow in my name it is my wish and desire that my sons use their utmost endeavors have her care for with medical attendance when required in sickness and in health to have her kept comfortable with clothing.

Seventh I give to my Beloved two sons James Parks and Charles Parks their heirs and assigns the remainder and residue of my Personal Estate namely all my share of the Schooner Undaunted all my stock of cattle and sheep and all farming utensils also all Moneys Notes of Hands Mortgages Judgements and accounts and all other personal property not herein mentioned the whole to be equally divided Between my said two Sons James Parks and Charles Parks.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my son James Parks sole executor of this my last Will and Testament satisfying and confiding this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.
