Died: 24 Jul 1930, age 41, due to loss of mind and heart failure arising from a brain tumor at Lunenburg, NS. The funeral service at the United Church was conducted by Rev. Bland. Burial on 26 Jul 1930 was at Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg, NS. Gladys was buried beside him later. Sweeney Funeral home handled the details at a cost of $130.

WILL [Act Book 6, page 315] :
I, Clarence Israel Young of Lunenburg in the County of Lunenburg and Province of Nova Scotia, machinist, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
I hereby nominate and appoint my wife, Gladys May Young, and my brother Daniel E. Young, the Executrix and the Executor and the Trustees of this my will.
I direct all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied out of my estate, by my said executors, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I give, devise and bequeath all my Estate, both real and personal, of whatever kind and wheresoever situated, to my wife Gladys May Young aforesaid, her heirs and assigns, absolutely, and I also nominate and appoint her the guardianship of my infant children.
In witness thereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my name and affixed my seal this thirty-first day of December AD 1929.

Clarence and his wife Gladys are buried in Lunenburg Hillside Cemetery. If you turn 90 dergees to the right, you would be looking at the Lunenburg Academy.
The birth and death dates for their son Merrill and daughter-in-law Irene are inscribed on the back side of the headstone.
