In the name of God Amen.
I John George Eisenhauer of Indian Point in the county of Lunenburg and Province of Nova Scotia farmer considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and although at the present time not very well in bodily health yet being of sound and perfect mind and memory (Blessed be the Almighty God for the same) do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following imprim---? I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me and my body to the earth whence it came to be buried in a decent manner and as for that worldly estate wherewith it has pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows:
First, I hereby authorize my hereinafter mentioned executors of this my last will to pay all my lawful debts by selling at public auction at any convenient time according to their own discression the one half of a certain thirty acre lot No. 2 joining the property of William Wentzel also to sell all my right and title which I have and hold in a certain lot of land bought by my late father of one M Nix formerly Shaufelberger's property also I herewith empower the hereinafter executors to sell all my right and title which I have or may have in then property of my late brother William deceased and further the one half of the schooner Swifture owned by me. Should the above mentioned property not be sufficient to pay my debts the hereinafter mentioned executors shall be authorized to sell at public auction as much of my personal estate as to make up the deficiency if they think it proper. After my lawfull debts have been paid as above mentioned I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Barbara the dower in all my remaining real and personal estate an an additional sum of thirty five pounds payable to her by my hereinafter mentioned son Samuel when he arrives at the age of twenty one years. I also appoint my said wife Guardian of all my children untill they respectively attain the age of twenty one years and my hereinafter mentioned son Samuel shall be obliged by this my will to maintain my wife Barbara his mother in a decent and comfortable manner as long as she remains a widow. I further give and bequeath to my son Samuel the homestead where I now reside, all the land with house, barn and all outhouses, all my stock of cattle farming and fishing implements, household furniture, kitchen utensils, and crops on my farm and every thing I am possessed of and which is not sold or given and bequeathed as above mentioned and my said son Samuel is to pay to his mother the sum of thirty five pounds when he attains the age of twenty one as above mentioned. I further give and bequeath to each of my three daughters Mary Anne, Elizabeth and Eleanor the sum of eighteen pounds currency payable to each of them as they respectively attain the age of twenty one years by my son Samuel. Lastly I nominate, constitute and appoint my wife Barbara executrix and my brother in law Frederick Hyson and my trusty friend George Ernst of Oakland executors of this my last will and testament revoking all former wills and recognizing this and this only as my genuine last will and testament. In witness whereof I John George Eisenhauer have hereunto my hand and seal set and affized at Indian Point this twenty fifth of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six.
