Planning the Trip
The first step was to provide 'Tünn' with my Ahnentafel Chart (about 30 pages),
who made contact with various German Interest Groups
and then lined up people for me to see.
Shortly before we flew overseas he provided me with
a revised Ahnentafel Chart that included what he was able to find.
The document, now in German, had expanded to about 300 pages.
The second step was to identify the ancestral homes of
the some 44 Lunenburg families who had swum in my gene pool.
This information came in part from Dr. Bell's books
"The Foreign Protestants and Settlement of Nova Scotia" (1960) and
"Register of the Foreign Protestants of Nova Scotia: (2003),
Paul Huber's book "??",
my book "Maps Associated with Lunenburg County Family History", and
research by individuals.

The third step was to mark on a map where all these places were located.

The last step was to lay out some sort of plan
so that as many places as possible could be visited in an efficient order.
We also had to allow flexibility to allow for alternate plans
that our hosts may have independently planned.
