COPPER (II) SULFATE
or "BLUESTONE"

Copper Sulfate

This picture shows the structure of the Copper Sulfate pentahydrate crystal and was submitted by students at Canterbury High School in Ottawa, Ontario.

This crystal is several years old and has started to lose water of hydration in spots to form anhydrous copper sulfate. Freshly made crystals would not be "spotted".
